Glassfish and Appfuse skeleton web application projects….:)
February 21st, 2007
Hi,
I have started my work duties at the service of new employer….at my current post I have possibility to get to know the good splendid spectrum of open source tool kits….from project management framework - Apache Maven to Spring framework. In Addition, the web services created by XFire module integrated into the Spring container provides also pleasant learning experiences. The article provided MemeStorm blog highlights the Spring integration with XFire more in detail. One handy tool in testing
Web Services is soapUI .
In order to be able to create an open source web project from scratch I would you Appfuse as skeleton for that purpose. In case one prefers Java JEE technologies good choice then falls to selection of Sun sponsored project called Glassfish
The maven2 promises lot of advantages to regular ant build scripts. But today and yesterday I was tackling with other work mates with the issues of plugin repository configurations….any way I look forward of learning more about maven2…it gives facilities to do the building of modules in more coherent way….standardized way…..good tutorial has been Better Builds with Maven - free edition available for developers to read. Have pleasant reading experiences…:)
